Gearhart has been a producer for multiple music projects, both classical and popular. In addition to his live performing, he has spent many hours in studio recording, digital editing and mixing. He is fluent with several DAW’s including Apple Logic, Pro Tools, GarageBand, and soon Ableton Live. You can find many current releases on Spotify and related platforms under Fritz Gearhart (classical) and Mod Robert (popular). Gearhart has produced several of the albums listed on this website including many that were released by major labels in the classical world. In the fall of 2025, Gearhart continued his education in audio engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Recording Arts at University of Colorado Denver, expected completion May 2027.

Gearhart works as a freelance producer and specializes in helping singer-songwriters achieve their own unique sound. He also records and edits classical recordings. Please send an email for more information and more examples of his work.

RECENT PROJECTS:

John Bunzli: Walk Away

This recent recording was part of a project for my Master’s Degree in Recording Arts. Local Denver area singer-songwriter John Bunzli agreed to come to the studio and record one of his songs. For this project there were three sessions, an initial session for acoustic guitar and bass tracks, a session for vocals and electric guitar and a session for drums. I directed all sessions and was responsible all for microphone choices, set up, and placement. I also produced the final product and was responsible for all of the arrangement choices beyond the initial acoustic guitar track. I am very happy with the overall sound of this project, especially the acoustic guitar and drum sounds.

Mira Devi: Canyon and Stars

Mira also agreed to a project in the fall of 2025. This beautiful song was recorded by me and all aspects of the arrangement beyond the acoustic guitar and vocal line are my own.

Fritz Gearhart: Not Much Time

Summer 2025. This original song was created using Pro Tools during my initial work with that platform. It utilizes digital drum samples and explored the various stock plugins for reverb and effects.
